At Learnoda, we believe learning is not something you finish, it's something you can come back to time and time again. For many of us, education has become synonymous with exams, qualifications, targets and outcomes. Increasingly, adult education in the UK is tied to funding criteria, assessment frameworks and measurable results. Whilst those pathways have a time and place, they are not the only reason to learn. We exist for a different reason...
This online learning college was created to reclaim learning as something enriching, stimulating and deeply human. Learning for curiosity. Learning for conversation. Learning because, it keeps our minds alive. Our ethos is based on the traditional open-access for all concept, which has sadly disappeared slowly over the years from the education landscape. We offer structured, live online courses designed purely for intellectual enjoyment and personal enrichment.

Learning for pleasure
Our courses are not pathways for certificates. They are invitations to think, to discuss and to engage. You learn because you want to, not because you have to.
Small groups
With small groups of learners in each class, discussion informs deeper and more meaningful learning. You are seen, heard and encouraged, never lost in the crowd.
Live, not pre-recorded
We believe education is relational. Every session is taught live, allowing space for questions, shared reflection and genuine connection.
Accessible wherever you are
All courses run online, making them accessible regardless of where you live. Your classroom really is your armchair! (All scheduling in in GMT).
A Modern Night School
There was once a strong tradition of evening institutes and community learning colleges where adults gathered simply because they wanted to understand the world a little better.
We are bringing that spirit into the here and now, using technology not to replace community, but to widen it.
Learnoda is a modern community learning college for adults who miss being in a learning environment and a place where they can explore new and exciting topics.

A note from our founder
I created this college because I believe something important is being lost and is slowly fading away from adult education.
Over time, learning has become increasingly instrumental and tied to employability, accreditation and measurable outcomes. These things have their place, but they are not the whole story.
Some of the most meaningful learning in my own life happened without exams attached. It happened in conversation, in reading, in discussion, in being challenged and stretched simply for sake of growth.
I wanted to build a space where adults could return to that experience. A place that feels serious and credible without being intimidating and without the pressure, open to anyone with curiosity.
